Being cooped up at home for awhile now like many of you, I finally have a chance to take some pictures of my collections and post them here on WAF. First up is my collection of German Der Stahlhelm / Stahlhelmbund items. I have most of the smaller items all in display cases within a bigger curio cabinet. All larger items such as flags are sadly hanging in my closet and not on display. If anyone out there has anything to add to my collection be it to trade or sell, I would enjoy hearing from you (I know that I am surely missing many tinnies and female enamel bows with entry years). Please stay safe out there during these trying times, Chris

I have attached some close-ups of my matched pair of 1918 badges. I'm told these are the "Holy Grail" of Stahlhelmbund collections (only 8-10 examples known to exist in current collections), and judging by their cost alone, that would be true, but I have seen pictures of 4 of those examples in other collections. What I have still never seen a picture of in anyone else's collection is an example of the Führer-Abzeichen or Bundesstern for the shoulder belt (pics. of front and back attached). Does anyone out there have one in their collection? It also came in an NSDFB version with the helmet superimposed over the swastika. Finally, I have attached a few pics. of other items in my collection. Thank you to all for your interest and your kind compliments, ChrisAttached Files- 1918 Ab.jpg (84.6 KB, 590 views)

I like the car pennant and of course the 1918's, Chris. Great stuff.
Here some photos from my files from the Stahlhelm Archiv.
I have seen quite some of them, observed them and of course scanned/photographed them.

Wilhelm - always a pleasure to hear from you and get your input given your vast knowledge of the subject matter. Thank you. Wow, those are a lot of membership badges! I am always happy with just one of every example (regardless of what type metal it was made from or what Gau/L.V./Ort/Kreis issued it). That way I leave some to other collectors. You have shown me those pictures of the Führer-Abzeichen before, but they are always great to see again. I just wish that they were not from your archives, rather from a collector who posted images from his collection. That way we would know if those collectors are alive and still actively collecting and who knows, may be looking to sell or trade one? Are you in contact with any of them and if they have a Führer-Abzeichen in their collection, I would love seeing pictures of all their other goodies. Thanks again and stay safe, Chris

all of the shown stuff is in the possession of ONE collector, a friend of mine for at least 40 years.
I have contact with him with some regularity, but I know he is not yet willing to sell items from his collection,
as I have asked him with various occasions.
I will look in my files for other stuff to show.
