The SS combat man wore an iconic camouflage helmet cover that served from its design concept in 1936 to final year of issue in 1945 a 9 year period, and thats not including is post war use by various arms.
Its multi piece design with metal clips went through several minor changes with a full host of camouflage patterns designed by Schick.
As the war progressed the cover gained cammo looks and different types of clips and rougher sewing.
I will attempt to show these covers as the war progressed.
