Not in 1945 as the production of 251/4 variant was stopped in the beginning of 1944 and this type was removed from Waffenamt data sheet dated 15 November 1944.

      PzAA

      Hi,

Yes, quite correct 251/4 discontinued by 1945, but here were ar discussing January 1944 when the 251/4 was the correct vehicle for towed Pak in PzAA.

The 1944 paperwork will of course say that they are not any more correct, but any that were still in PzAA units would stay the same until they were lost in combat or survived to the end of WW2.

Paperwork will say one thing, but it can be a long time for the paperwork to become reality in the front line units.

It doesn't necessarily mean that these vehicles were Marder IIs, but just the fact that seven SPs were serving in the recon battalion is interesting.
Garry, from that we can't say that the "SP" 5cm wasn't just a Pak 38 mounted on an SdKfz 10. LAH had Marder III at the time of your report though , sadly only 4 appear on the issue listing for 1943 so perhaps they acquired some vehicles from some where.

            Hi Alan.
True. There is no way of knowing what SP guns they were referring to.

The question of the PzAA1 tactical symbol migrated to the Axis History forum. One gentleman there said it belongs to 1PD since it would have had the SS runes in front of it if it belonged to LAH. I will continue to look for other evidence. Thanks to everyone for their input.

                        Hello,

The emblem on the door of the Renault AHN is a french unit insignia. Unfortunaly the picture is too blurry to know which one.

                        Best regards

                          Thanks for your answer !

This is strange because on the full picture, they are soldiers of the Wehrmacht and there are several other trucks with an Opel Blitz....
