    Roncey pocket relic

    Hello,
Is it possible to identify this relic, which I believe is part of a vehicle. It was found a couple of years ago near to La Baleine, on the edge of the "Roncey Pocket", amongst many other parts of wrecked vehicles and munitions.
    Many thanks,
    Kerry.

It appears to be the remnants of a wheel hub and a section of torsion bar from a tracked vehicle, possibly a tank. The Panther had a similar set up, with the torsion bars having variations in the cross sections, some round, others more square, depending upon their location on the chassis.

            Hi Graeme,
Yes, and the periscope sight, within 50 metres, along with a load of live 75s and 7.92.
            Cheers,
            Kerry
