    Captured Dewoitine D.520 tail piece with veteran photo and note

    Any aviation experts here? Came across this really interesting piece. Like what I see so far with the photos for comparison.

          That's an...interesting observation? I'm not sure how you can accurately say that because 1. the photo is not to scale and 2. the photo is grainy on the closeup

            If you do an on line search for clear images of actual Dewoitine D520 aircraft, you'll notice that there are horizontal creases in the sheet metal on the tail plane. Those creases aren't apparent on the section of sheet metal with the Swastika that you have presented.

                    Usually those cutouts are crudely cut out of the airplane. This one is a perfect square like from the shear press.
