WH vehicle number plate

Found this vehicle number plate.
Anyone an idea where the III stand for?
I assume its for a larger truck?

Probably the number plate belongs to the headquarters machine of the III military district

Hi,
No idea really but found this information,

III = Wehrkreis Berlin, but its numbers run are WH 39,000-39,999

III = Luftgaukommando Berlin, but its numbers are WL 300,000 - 319,999

III = Saschen, Reg.-Bez. Leipzig

Very likely the last one for Saschen, but have no idea if that is a military or civilian
location. But it can easily be removed as it has "keyhole fixing slots".

the seller told me also it was from the Leipzig area.

III = Saschen, Reg.-Bez. Leipzig

i will put it on E-stand on short notice

Such license plates were adopted during the war on 1 February 1942. The license plate does belong to Leipzig.
