Looks like a Mg carrying strap

The metal parts should have a Waffenamt somewhere, if it's german made. Also possible that it's a version made by some other country that used the german machine guns after the war.

This looks like an Asian /Indian made Repro....Original Hook was made in different design..Orig. Swivel body had thicker construction & stiching appears sloppy. FWIW
