Greetings fellow enthusiasts, I’ve been been looking at and referencing this forum for a little while now and it has supplied me with much information. This addicting hobby started for me about 10 years ago when I started collecting Third Reich era firearms. Tired of the rules and regulations (or infringements on my second amendment rights) , I decided to branch into daggers. I really like the looks of the SA’s and SS’s and so I purched a couple, one being a partial E. Pack Röhm.
But then it hit me. Why spend the high $’s for say, an SS dagger, when I could buy 2 pieces/artifacts of something that was touched and used by the “man” himself for the same price.
So I decided to buy some AH silverware.
Now I’m hooked, I’ve found my niche. And not just AH, but all silverware from this era. I went and bought the only reference book readily available and that’s the encyclopedia by James Yannes, but I agree, it’s only a list of what’s out there and some here on this forum say there are fake SS utensils listed there. I get that. But at least it’s a start.
So as a test, (and since this is the equipment and gear), I’ll see if I can attach some photos of a Wehrmacht spork and spoon that is listed in that book.
