Strap for what?

Need your help on this strap, Carrying strap for what, it seems to be some heavy stuff
Morter, mg or something else.

For attaching ( hook up ) the belt and place the carrying straps in place ( to avoid sliding down or back ).

Also when carrying just one box: hook under the belt, strap round your neck, and 1 box fixed on other end.
