    Messhall Porcelian Finds

    Hi Folks:

I recently attended another flea market in the area and found a Heer (Army) messhall pitcher with lid and a KM (Kriegsmarine) large size coffee cup.....but what I noticed is that there are no hallmarks. They are plainly marked with the Heer Eagle w/swastika and KM Eagle w/swastika & "M".

The coffee or drink pitcher w/lid is also a new design/type for me.

Are these late war pieces....? I have many porcelain pcs...and many are hallmarked by the German porcelain makers....so this is a new one for me. I would appreciate comments from those who have more experience ...thank you,

Thanks for your opinion...but based upon.....what data...besides opinion?

They sure do have the age and appear period...I believe that they are non-German made by another allied/occupied country.

Another reason for me thinking non-German...the firm doesn’t want to be associated with makiing products for Germans....so they fail to affix their hallmark to what they produce.

I could be "way out there" in my thinking....but other countries produced messhall dinner ware...like Poland, Hungary, and Czech......and like I said...I've never seen these types of dinner ware before...but I could be completely wrong. I saw where one said...after 1944...they only posted the eagle and date.

          If I'm wrong...OK Thanks,
