Small find of boots, what are they ??

Here are the photos of 3 patterns of felt, winter boots.

From ( viewer ) left ; 1st pattern, 2nd pattern, 3rd pattern winter boots.

First pattern was made in short period in 1942 ( never seen any made after 1942 ).

Second pattern was made from 1942 till the end of war.

Third pattern was made from 1943 till the end of war ( never seen any 1942 dated ).

Second and third were made simultaneously.

Yes, second and third pattern had variantions with front leather joints/ reinformcents.

Thanks for the detailed info on these winter boots very interesting read...

As for the newspaper I will go back and look again.

The boxes are still on the attic as I had no time to recover them yet. I just grabbed all the boots and contents. There is also another pair of boots which were found in the boxes. You can see them in the first pic slightly on the left side. They are different the the GJR boots.
I will make better pics soon, also there were flat rubber boots. In some time I will post pics of all the contents.

I sold mine as was looking for a set in better condition.
There was one set for sale on ebay lately ( sold for 250 euro if remember correctly ), even with few sets of orginal shoelaces.

But all have the same problem and the same damages from water and rodents.

Those never left a test level and never reached industrial level of production ( probably were too expensive ). Only small amount of those were made and delivered to field units for field test.

Saw it, was sitting there for months, and just sold yesterday, for 210,- But to bad condition for me

Great pic Kiler - thanks for posting it.

A little off topic here, but this camo uniform represents probably the best way to set-up a Landser if you want confidence that nothing has been f'd with on it. Still reasonably easy to find the pants and jacket with nice colors at fairly decent prices. It's also easy on the eyes as you don't have swastikas flashing around on it.

No the best way to date the items, as very old newspapers ( for examples from 30-thies ) or very new newspapers could be used ( from 50 or 60thies ) as filler.

I didn't say anything about dating the contents did i? I'm simply curious about the newspapers

Fully agree. Make no sense of collecting III reich era items if can't stand swastikas ( by the way many other countries uses swastika as well, not only Germany ).

I undestand, we live now in a f...ed up world where wrongly understand political correctness and the far left is winning everywhere , specialy in US na West Europe ( funny thing is the fact that most of the members of the left wing, which we could call communists, are people who were born after communism fall in most of the world ) for the outsider eyes this my be offensive ( IMO for people with less brain ), but still those are historical artefacts, which can't be altered ( I know some groups would like to alter it ) as such action would be simply a historcial deceive.

My point was for those who have their stuff displayed in a part of the home where it's visible to guests, the initial impression of the "swastika-less" camo uniform is a lot easier to deal with.
