Small find of boots, what are they ??

    Hi all,

just found some pairs of Policky Rieker boots and other stuff on an old attic. Some are marked Rieker some are not, but all have an RBNr. marking inside.
Can you tell me for what they were ?

    Many thanks, Jens

Nice haul ! Love those 1st pattern winter boots ( not easy to find in any condition ) and socks haul !

Ankle boots look like postwar made boots from wartime (gbj boots ) parts IMO put up for civil market.

I am not fully versed in winter boots so I was wondering what makes a 1st pattern winter boot and how many patterns are there?

            Nice find!
            Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Well spotted Marcin! What's more size markings add in civilian way "42" and "6".

There are 3 patterns of winter boots and one 'experimental' or special purpose BATA pattern which never reached high level of production ( and was made in small quantity only between 1941 and 1942 ).

I will make some photos of all 3 patterns from my collection and show the diffrence in construction.

I guess you writing about, white, cloth BATA boots which I call experimental pattern ( as those were not made in high quantity and saw only limited field use ).

I writing about 3 patterns of felt boots.

No the best way to date the items, as very old newspapers ( for examples from 30-thies ) or very new newspapers could be used ( from 50 or 60thies ) as filler.
