Well, .......after using up just about all my luck (and any expectation of a lottery win) I found myself in the right place right time and managed to cut a deal on the trommeltrager. Lots of disscussions of course but the end result is happy dudes on both sides of the fence.

Ive looked at Berflak's site and I am not actually sure its the same one as the paint wear is different and the waffen looks deep struck on Berflak example but light struck on this one. Other than that, same markings and same date.

Magazines are from existing collection and only fit properly with release catches to centre facing each other.

I do not deny that I was a v lucky teddy bear in this case. I would have deemed myself lucky to see one in the flesh never mind be able to secure one for my collection.

Never say never the kit is out their ! Yes agreed very good condition with some light wear to the paint in places (it may or may not have a coating applied over the paint finish, original or post I don't care !)

Gustav Appel manufacture, 1936. Typical green paint used for the smaller tins and equipment (I think it is called Apple Green same as the gasmask cases etc)

Next target is the Zufuhertasche or the drum loader.

Nice to see family keeps on growing. For sure these rare items are out there....BUT WHERE?? That's the question.
