Dark yellow camo gas mask can out of the farmers haybag

Very happy with my latest find. An untouched and dirty/dusty southern front camo can with deformations straight out of an old haybag. Stored in the cellar of a farmhouse near Salzwedel an der Elbe not far away from Berlin. Forgotton for decades. Germans were fighting brownish soldiers there 1945. Of course this can has seen a lot of trouble.

Nice one. Would say typical for ukraine summer crops fields ( rye and sunflowers ).

Very much the color used by the DAK around Al Alamein. Nic can. I had a matching DAK helmet. J

Rather would say that it looks like post 1943 color used in Italy or Greece ( or as mentioned earlier in southern USSR ).

+1 IMO italian theatre or ukrainian fields of Gold camo. Its missing the DAK typical orange touch

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Thank you. I am travellung all around in germany for gas masks and helmets. Its becoming more different to find them but these unquestionable barn and attic finds are still out there.
