Small Gift (poison) tube

Hi guys

I know such items are always seen with strong scepticism... Anyhow, this was shown to me by a person who found it in an old house in the pocket of an Italian uniform. Needless to see he is very intrigued and would like to know what it is. It was not bought and is not for sale.

What would your thoughts be?

Interesting ideas. I hadnt thought of the idea that it may not be poison per se, but something dangerous that is usefull for other reasons and happens to be poisonous.

Nothing on the tablets themselves? I would assume there was some kind of identification on the tablets.
