Zeiss Optic, but what is it???

I went to a car boot fair today and found this, I'm not sure what it is?, what it does? or what I'm going to do with it!!!!. I bought it for five pounds beacuse it looked interesting!!!!
As you can see it is some kind of Carl Zeiss optic dated 1943, but what is it for?? and is it worth anything??

Hi, it's a nice, clean, SWISS-made ocular, used for several types of artillery-guns. Value around 50 euro.
