I like to know if the S mounted troop medic saddle bag use by only the mounted troop ?

Since it has a special coupling to attach it to the saddle bags it would be strange if these were issued to non mounted troops......

So i think, yes, these were only issued to mounted troops.....

Unfortunately no period picture of one of these in use......
