Hello All
I am posting photos of a German box used by P.F.C. Roger H. Dennis to mail his war booty home. Pictured with the box is one of four daggers that was originally mailed home in this box (the other three daggers were not available for purchase). I posted detailed photos of this dagger several weeks ago, but failed to show the box itself. The purpose of this thread is to determine the original use of this box by the Germans. I was told it once housed a radio, is this correct? I believe it is marked "lotkastell" (the "a" is written backwords) on the top of the box an is barely visible under the green paint. Inside the top lid is stamped "B.W.g.l" and just below that is "2.N.A.1". Any information is appreciated. Thank you
Best Regards
Mike
