    Brown Phenolic Ciup

    Found & added to my '42 Coconut - a brown phenolic cup. Not modern injection molded, definitely phenolic resin. All details match my other period black (and green) cups. Only a VERY faint mark...looks like "FZ...." or "F7..." (in a circle).

    Anyone else (Mulon) have more info on this rare type?

                Well.....at least one of us got it

                It's in almost perfect condition. Does anyone know the date(s) that this variation might have been produced?

                Thanks everyone for your comments!

                  F7 is the maker mark, sadly not known as no complete list exits. The circle you refer to is the materialprüfungsamt logo.

                  Nice find

                      It could also be F2 (but I doubt it) as this company made electrical components;

                      Franz Strauch, Preßwerk, Unterrodach/Oberfranken, Bavaria.

                          Yes, eBay. The seller did not know what he had however.

                            Even so buyers should exercise caution as MPA marked items continued to be marked in such a way well into the 1950's.

                              Hi

                              Here above is mine, brown-green phenolic cup.
                              Canteen is late war, red enameled body without markings. Straps are made of pigskin.
                              Cup clearly marqued F7K.

                              MrK.
