I can answer that question by a story told me directly from a Fallschirmjaeger veteran. Gerhard Meier of Solon Ohio USA born in East Prussia enlisted in the Fallschirmjaegers after France to get his service out of the way and avoid entry into the RAD. The war was over, France was beaten, so he joined the Luftwaffe and ended up in The Fallschirmjaeger Lehr Batt.
I asked him how he liked his jump boots and he said he was never issued them. Instead his unit was given Danish boots, very high lace up, black leather. His unit was also equipped with MG40's as he called them, but actually the MG34S. Gerhard was to have participated in the invasion of Malta, but when that was called off, his unit went to N. Afrika with Ramke in the Burkhardt Battl. (my spelled wrong here). He ended up at El Alemein bolstering the Italian units in the front line and was captured at the end of the battle as his unit retreated on foot through the desert. Gerhard spent the rest of the war working on roads for the British in Egypt and was released in 1947.

        Wow!
That´s more I expected! Another member told about second line reissue, but I also thought, this would have been nice jumpboots!
Are there any evidences, apart of Mr. Meiers honest word, these boots were used by Fallschirmjäger units? Any photos would be the jackpot!
        Which unit served Mr. Meier?

        Thank you very much!

I can confirm it is a pair of Danish model 1930 marching boots. I have seen these boots being worn by the Danish Schalburg corps in war time photos, but I never seen any pictures of German soldiers wearing them. But that doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

As far as I read, the danish Army had less than 15.000 men in 1940?
So this boots must be very rare...
