    Question about zeltplane equipment.

Hello everyone!Great site and glad to be here.I bought a tentpole kit off of German Ebay which included the original bag with four poles and two stakes.Every piece has the original owners name written on it.(K.Richter FHL 1/2/100).Anyone know what the FHL 1/2/100 means? Thanks,Lanier

Hello Lanier, welcome to the forum. I like the pegs and poles, but not sure about the bag. Most german ww2 equipment has buttons with 3 holes, not 4. Also, most equipment has leather straps that are sewn on, not riveted. So I would be skeptical about the bag.

Don't know what the FHL stuff means, but I don't think this is an Army set. It is most likely from one of the many "polical" organizations, like the SA or RAD. The color and rivited construction goes along with some tornisters I've seen that weren't quite so good as an Army one. This bag was for use with the WWI type pack and zelt. Square WWI zelt needed three poles and pegs per panel - the triangular needed only one pole and two pegs.
The only odd thing is what appears to be a Swiss pole in your set. Does the pole that doesn't match have his name on it too?

The odd pole is not marked with name but has a black band just below the metal fitting. The bag itself has the name Karl Heinz Richter in two places.Back of bag has a rip that has been repaired.
