    Tent Pole Bag and Accs.

    Hello,

I picked up this tent pole bag the other day thinking that it was German. After looking at it I do not think that it is. The only markings are on the bag itself. The small buckles are enameled in brown enamel. The buckles and straps are riveted on not sewn. No markings on the pegs or poles. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

              Gran Sasso,

Thanks a lot. Not a mark on it except the one on the pouch.

Agreed - the lack of markings on something as easy to mark as canvas suggests non-military to me. When everything you lose comes out of omebody's pay, you mark everything! Unit/individual plus, almost always, date and 'mark'/pattern markings are the notm for even the smallest containers.
