This is something given to me recently. It is engraved inside with names and a date 1941/42. The names look German to me but it was suggested by the person who gave it to me that the names may be Swiss in origin? Anyone here collect Cigerette cases? Thoughts/Comments welcome, thanks.

The engraved insignia on the outside of the case is for a German University Students' Society, so I would say it's German. The inscription inside the case would also refer to members of the society.

I know each society had their own script 'logo' as seen on the outside of the case, but I'm not sure which clubs were at which universities. Unfortunately, I don't see anything in the inner inscription that would identify the school, either. Perhaps someone is more familiar with these societies?
