        Jim,

I have a bag I need to find it in my 'bunker'. It came with 2 of the bags associated with Gebirgs jager Rucksacks, the types with the coloured triangles.
My bag is unmarked plain brown canvas with a drawstring running through small zinc grommets, could never work out its purpose but this thread has me thinking it could be a zweibackbeutel. My cheese tubes have the tops ripped off luckily one came with its top crushed into the body, I found it as I opened up the tubes.

I see you moved from TX to AZ.

        regards

        Mark

          hey mark,

I think a lot of these undescript bags could in fact be for rations. there seems to be a "regulation" style but I guess the soldier would have used anything.Mind if I post your ration and Leather tin on the ration and personal items thread I started on the Collections forum?

Yep we're back in AZ.The wife keeps getting promoted. But we may be here for a while. Theres only one more grade she can achieve in the GS system and that would probably entail going to DC. I don't think she wants to move there. We'll see.

          Regards Jim
