    Mg34 drums opinions please

    Thoughts on these drums? Post war repaint? You can see most don’t show red primer first off and second the paint is brittle. It wasn’t a nice neat job, you can see under some handles didn’t get painted well like it was in a hurry. The guy I know brought a bunch back from overseas like 20 or so years ago.

    Not pictured but I have some others that are blued with no paint. Russian?

      How about maker's stamps and production dates? Are they all exactly the same tone of dunkelgelb?

        They are all the same color. Dates are 41-44 codes mostly hqr I think it was. I am wondering if I should get these and repaint them?

          Not all producers used red primer, but for sure no pre-1943 would be painted dunkelgelb as first factory colour. If they are cheap and you need some fillers, why not?

          Yep, blued ones would be RC.

              They are obviously repainted.
              The question is, how much do you have to pay for them?

                  Pretty expensive for repainted ones if you ask me........
