UNUSUAL SS CAMO RUCKSACK: help please

    Hi Gentlemen,

This is something I have not seen ever before and can't find any reference to compare and need your help in identifying if correct that such an item did exist or not.
I have looked closely and can't see any markings to help.
Its definitely has some age to it with rust on steel fittings and well worn leather including the camo fabric.
Its sewn together in various coloured threads including black and all cotton.

Could this have been WW2 German or another army post war.

Please let me know if more pics are needed, hope these are good enough.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers

Neither Wehrmacht nor army, just postwar.

                        That is correct.

While certainly not an issue piece, it could have been a field made item, as some field made splinter ones are also around.

Typical post war style , made with left over spare parts !
Locally made camo Rucksacks are never that complicated in the making ...

Most of those post war bags are green , a camo one is a pretty rare one especially in the WSS camo !
