Question about German first aid packages

Recently I bought a medical bag for a officer on the e-stand. Inside where several first aid packages which are in my opinion American. Also a little bottle with english writing. Can someone determine if these first aid packages are in fact American and maybe WW2? The bottle seemed post war because the expeire date is July 1981.

And what are Allied first aid packages doing in a German officers medic bag? Maybe the first aid packages where captured and used by the German medical officer? Questions, questions.

I will appreciate it if someone can help me out with these.

      Medical pouch.

Hello, i hope i can help you.
First your bottle is post war, the oldest date can be 1946 when the R for Registered Trade Mark was introduced.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regist...ademark_symbol
Second, about presence of US military first aid packages, why not ? Some pictures shows german soldiers with captured US weapons, so i can be possible that in more or less wide scale some equipments can be captured ( in wider scale in North Africa and Italy).
I personnaly found in a flea market here in Alsace some US medical stuff like gauze boxes, Ether bottle and safety pins (for attaching blankets on litters or bandages) near a POW's who hold soviet, italian, and other POW's (maybe US ?) with andwrite german markings. The Medical stuff can be Red Cross Gift.
Or maybe just in my case a civilian reuse of US stuff.

          Hi,

About the case of Allied medical equipment found in german bags and pouches.
This would be completely normal, the Germans were always in short supply in this regard and used whatever they could. I have read some 14-15 self-biographies from german doctors and most mention this fact. So, no surprise and no problem.
I have several pouches with a mix of british, Italian and french medical equipment.

Regarding the later medical stuff: I have an officers bag wehrmacht period with a prescription-leaflet from a doctor who went on a pension in 1976..!..So, re-use postwar would also not be a problem.
