Or perhaps not an honnest mistake at all?? I tend to be a bit naive.
I unfortunately have to say I have rarely seen a field as infested with pathological liars as metal detecting. Some people always ssem to find everything... untill you check their story.

Maybe he did at least find one thing himself.

In any case, it doesnt change that you have your nice Hautentgiftungmittel.... and that some diggers, somewhere, made some very nice finds.

I am glad you uncovered that tall story AFTER I send the guy money (it was very cheap btw). Otherwise i wouldnt own these pieces now
