Officers suit case (?) / Map drawing suit case

Dear Gents,

I came across this bag and I would need your help me identifing it. It looks the same as an M31 Bekleidungssack, might be a bit smaller, but strong, rough material. Inside has 2 sections, pouches, and you can pull out a hard table from one of the pouches. It looks like a suit case or same special map case.

Any proper idea about what exactly it is and if it is german?
