Is this a hanger for an axe? It is Luftwaffe marked, is this pouch legit?
And What is the value, it has been offerd to me and seller wants 100$ for it, but I have no clue on this item, so your thoughts would be Very much appreciated

Civilian firepolice with fake markings. Without the 42 dated 3 letter code there might have been the option it was used at an airfield, but as its not military issue, it could not have the 42 code markings.
So, safe your money.

No worries - BTW, material and manufactur looks east german to me.
