    Trinkwasser 5l

Hello, below is the picture of thing that i have, its not a picture of mine but mine is the same in better condition.
Mine question for you is what excatly is this, what year of production, is this from german? Because ive read it might be not. I want to sell this so what money may i take for this? I found this in my garage.

Norista can. Some say they are Swiss, others that used by Luftwaffe in planes. Simon H. provided a pic showing German troops with one...It should be in a thread around but can't find it. I don't have any other info, sorry.

I dont know what means word norista. If this can is not german production so maybe it is swiss but used by german army in II world war?
I live near Hitler headquarter in Gierłoż from II world war.
Ive found on ebay can like mine, and someone said in description that this is from Luftwaffe used by pilots. And the price was around 110 brithis pounds.

        Witaj,

Here, I found the thread, it is nirosta, not norista, sorry!!:

I would say 110GBP is way off.

Here is the one I have in my collection & yes 110£ is a totally unrealistic price.

They appear to have originally been supplied as part of the survival gear for bomber crews but as JL & myself had shown in the earlier thread there is evidence of them being used elsewhere. Norista possibly referred to the stainless steel material used as well as being a manufacturer. As for price they are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for them - they are unusual but not that rare.

Ok, so now i know that this was II world war for bombers crews survival.
Is it better for me to achieve better price to sell this on german or UK ebay or on polish page like ebay allegro?
If 110 pounds is not unrealistic price so what money is realistic for this.
Sorry i dont have picture of mine cause now i cannot make it but i can say mine is in very good condition.

eBay will give you the largest audience. As to price I know I would not go more than $100 for a nice one with intact paint & a clean interior.

I agree that Ebay will get you a broad audience and probably the best chance of a good sale price. Start at a reasonable price, maybe £50 and hopefully the bids will come. If your example is in good condition most or all original paint, marked and clean inside then you should do well.

                    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WW2-GERMA....c100011.m1850

You said that 50 pounds is ok price, so why someone want 185 pounds?
Its important question for me cause i dont know what price to write on auction.

The item in question is located in Italy, what someone wants and what someone is prepared to pay is not the same thing. You might wish to see if it does sell for £185, but I very much doubt it will.

What Simon said (no pun intended [emoji851]) sellers are free to ask what they want. We see crazy prices all the time on eBay.

Now that documents are published showing its use you’re going to get people who see this thread & will the same unit list at inflated prices hoping to cash in on suckers.

My advice is to list it with a reasonable opening bid & if you want to protect your investment put a reserve on.

Simon says, this was what I had implied before.
