I don't like it. IMO it is a repro.

Your's looks old but I don't know if it could be Werhmacht issue or not. It could also be DRK or civilian purchase, why not? I've got one made in grey cloth, just like other cloth pouches for compressed bandages. It came in a PatronenKasten Verbandkasten, together with other Wehrmacht issued medical equipment. It is stamped in the inside but difficult to read. Might not be standard issue but I believe mine to be real.

IMO it's an original piece. Natural wear, no problem with the authenticity. Just some quetsions about if civilian or military use (Grey-green canvas) ?

          Thanks, David

            Hi, Carles

Agreed, not easy to say if it's civilian or military. You pouch is interesting.

            Thanks, David

The leather at back looks to be artificialy dried with torch/ligther to me ( does look like shrunk under fire or very high heat in short period of time , not like dry leather which dried slowly over years ). The rubberized cloth on the edges is alos soemthing seen often in repros, or postar made rucksacks etc.

Artificialy dried with a torch ? Very strange, because the sewing thread is intact. Imo the leather was in contact with water and has been retracted. In any case the leather does not smell grilled.
For the rubberized cloth, this material was used on wwii equipement for sure, like WP and SB covers, etc....
Add that the pouch is made with two layers of canvas. Exterior with heayy green canvas and internal with light white canvas.

                THank you for your help

                David
