German canteen SMM 45

Hello, here after a textbook example of SMM 45 canteen. It is made stronger than ever with a thick leather rig. I was surprised to find the date 45 on this canteen. Even a bit disappointed .. Frankly not the last ditch !!

Lovely canteen with light grey snaps and still a thick felt cover. The canteen was probably made early in 1945 using up 1944's stock
