Info needed - alu container WaA

Hello all,

Can anyone give me some information about this aluminium container. Very nicely stamped, see pic's.
Some tell me it's a food container, some think's it's a powder(ammo) drum.
Food doesn't seem logical, aluminium is a metal that doesn't maintain food at a constant temperature.

The container is missing a ring to close the lid on the container.

There are several threads here in WAF about gunpowder containers. Browse around. I know those other were slightly different models but in general terms look the same.

It's a gunpowder container. These were used to store gunpowder in the factories, i don't know if these were used in the field, never seen one in a picture showing field use. I got one bearing a lable Fp02, which ist Füllpulver 02 or Amatol, a TNT variant. These containers pop up regularly around the Geesthacht area, where a large ammunition factory was located. Lots of these were liberated by the local population after the war anders used for storage of more usefull items. One can occasionally find them in the local scrapyards.

I've them in use. One of the field chronicle was showing them in use to blow up some buildings or instalions in docks somewhere in south or west.
