    Assistance in ID'ing Canteen

    Hi Folks:

    Here is a strange one.....need some help in ID'ing this canteen a co-worker and I've been puzzled...the strap appears to be a WWII German gas mask canister strap...but the canteen itself and cover .....?? Strange....he bought this in a flea market in Germany. Thank you for your assistance.
