    German Messkit FWBN 44

Hi there, the last i got! With another nice variant of olive color. Not much to say except that it was obviously built in the hurry but still built with aluminium! I will be curious to see a FWBN 43.

Nice one, but I never seen a steel FWBN, do not forget that some manufacturers did use aluminum till the end like HRE, and some manufacturers like RFI and ET did use steel in 42 already.

Think or better said ‘asume’ that some manufacturers only used aluminum cause of the pressing capacity/tools available, as steel would be needed to stamped with much heavier machinery and more steps to get it in shape as aluminum.
As these heavier and more complex stamping technique is easy for a helmet company like ET.

    Regards
