There is a theory that lack of the clips and wood insert is common for such pouches from one certain maker late production but the markings embossed on yours are cleary from different one and dated the item too early.

To me very nice try and done by talented crook but still bad one.

The maker on stamp is BELT BUCKLE and metal items maker ( Berg & Nolte ) so a realy not best choice for marking the item which should be made by leather and cloth items maker.
It is a typical marking which could be found belt buckle tongues.

As Robert mentioned ; nice attempt ( realy well made item which is very close to orginal ) but 'burnt' ( intentionally or not ) by wrong markings.

This one could enter in the same group as some other seen around the forum recently. I'd seen it for sale in the internet and that stamp is clearly made to deceive. There is much information about this kind, see the following links for further info. Pitty some members remove pics as soon as they get an answer.

I dont see a connection to putting a bolts without mounting metal AA viewfinder holder. Why???
Also I saw some of them with only wooden part inside - almost all of them had a signature on a front strap - only date "1944" mostly - rather "1945"

I am thinking they all were repros.

IMO all of these mg pouches schould have metal clip and AA Viewfinder cover inside

Well, it is difficult to say which is what just from 2 or 3 pics from the internet. For sure there are some repros but there are also some good pouches made by epf in that cardboard like presstoff, about 1944-45, void of holders and partitions. Those that only have a wooden plank inside, I believe are bad repros, but I would need some pics of each to compare. Some have also appeared in Italian leather, which were also void of any interior, and also considered good late war.

Hello, maybe only the stamp is wrong? But without inserts, it weird? I attached pictures of mine.

These two last ones are a different producer and kind of presstoff than the OP one. These are the typical presstoff used by fuq and oaz that are usually found with all interiors used till 1945, while the one posted above is made of a cardboardlike material and used by epf and generally void.

epf used the regular kind of presstoff in 1943 but seems they changed to this carboardlike (produced by Copama) in 1944 or 45. Please see the threads I posted above.

Here are some pics of my regular presstoff pouches produced by epf in 1943. It is empty because interiors have been pulled off post war.

see some links to epf produced in 1945:
