These are original issue, 4 piece utensil set. Not Luft, but used by all of the armed forces. Some people refer to them as the officer set, as opposed to the "spork" (combined spoon/fork) set with no knife and can/bottle opener, but according to most publications, these sets were used by all ranks. Each piece having the same number raises the value. Most knives were not marked with the eagle, but often have "rostfrei" meaning rust free or stainless steel on them. These sets matched run about $75. Post war sets are also available, made exactly the same without the eagles of course. These sets run about $5-$8, and are favorites for reenactors.HC

the spoon has 10 on the back, the fork has 10 on the back and the
knife has USSTAH with 10 under it.
does this seem right what is USSTAH ?
cheers

Originally posted by hcliffeNever heard of the USSTAH marking. The "10" on the other pieces is probably just a sequence number. Not sure what price the set is, but again personally I would opt for a set that had the eagle on all pieces except the knife which is rare to find.
