    ordnance codes

Does anyone have a list of ordnance codes ie. the three letter factory codes on their hard drive that they could e mail to me?
There seems to be a lot of knowlege out there on these, but I'm still ignorant of them !!!!! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Afrika,

Karl R. Pawlas publishing prints 'the' book of all the codes up until October 1944- there are 10-12 codes per page and it's 777 pages- so there are over 8500 codes and the book itself is a copy of an old typewritten book. I don't know if anyone's gone to the trouble of creating an electronic version or not but those of us who have the book would be happy to look up any codes you might want to know about.

Slight clarification - Code arr can be found on Rg34 starting in 1941. They switched to code rco in late 1944. The maker's information provided is correct. WaA numbers other than 392 can also be encountered on Rg34 by Braunschweigische. Always looking for data on the Rg34 cleaning kits for a reference book that I am working on (link below).

Thats correct (cant remember of the top of my head but the WaA is 350 or 300)
Would it be incorrect for this RG to have a G appel early "spoon" in it and a bakelite oiler? I have my feelings that it is a put together kit sadly
                  All the best

                    Matt et al,

In addition to WaA392 the following numbers have been observed on Braunschweigische Rg34: WaA20 and WaA57. If others can be confirmed I would appreciate trhe information.

Sadly your arr kit sounds as if it has mixed components. The composite oiler could be okay but the tool is suspect. On the positive side this is more the rule than the exception. Many, if not most of the Rg34 encountered will have mixed components (by maker or date). Partly because of swapping components, loss, or replacement. Then again we are still learning who made what components and which ones can be noted in cans by maker and date. Hence the research and the book project.

                    Regards - Lance O. Adams ......
