    Original german Leibriemen???

Good morning to some and good evening to others!

I have some questions about this Leibriemen. It's marked
    (Sorry for the bad foto's)

    Springer & Co, Berlin 1941

Does it look original. (or: could it be original) How can I be sure.
Was this a belt for officers only? (for what troops was it ment)

I hope someone can help me,

    Greetings,
    Frank

What you have is called a Zweidornkoppel and it was an officers belt. The Leibriemen was something completely different. It was a cloth band that would be worn around the waist under the shirt and cover the kidneys. It was for warmth and abdominal support. Lice loved to hide in the Leibriemen. I am still looking for an original example.
