    unusual verbandkasten

    Hello

Freshly found from a flea market this morning, this verbandkasten with red and yellow cross. No marking seen (but not already cleaned) with few medic items inside. Nearly same dimensions as a usual verbandkasten.

Never seen one like this one. Any infos about it ?

    Best regards

    ZEK

Never seen this kind. Can you show some close ups of the contents?

Very odd and I've never seen one like it before.....personally I think it isn't strictly German wartime even thought it appears to have the same dimensions as the familiar wartime version does.

Box construction isn't typically German either and they didn't add yellow stripes to my knowledge which if they did usually indicates something.

Never been in collection before, barnfind ( in northern France) before sold in a flea market with original ww2 contents and not wartime ?

Perhaps not a Verbandkasten, first aid box, but for some other medical used. The yellow stripe and cross could indicate the other use, not to confuse with regular boxes. Perhaps for hospital storage of medicines..? Contents are military production. Perhaps Jan might know

Just because it contains a few loose items that are possibly German in origin doesn't necessarily mean they belong to the box does it and doesn't make it wartime either.........it might be pre war?

                Hello

I've cleaned the box this morning, no marking and no label. Don't think that it could be a earlier production.
I've already seen yellow cross painted on early gascape pouch and on a german wooden sign (indicate chemical warfare place).

Perhaps not a verbandkasten but a box for Losantin tablets, then?
