    German ammo pouches model 1909 with many stamps!

    Can someone tell me more about the strange "S. Y. 1921" stamp on these ammo pouches? Thanks!!!

    Hello!

    It is Finnish National Guard property stamp.

    " SY Suojeluskuntian Ylieskunta, Finnish abbreviation for Civil Guard."

      Thanks for the information. So these were made in Germany for Finland or did they get them after the war? Any idea about the value of them?

          I think our newborn independent (1917) country bought them after the WW1 from surplus sources.
          Some were perhaps left by German forces(Ostsee/Baltic-Division) helping gaining the indepence.
          These are just thoughts in the air as I have very little knowledge in the early history of Finnish armed forces.

          I sold couple of these few years ago on Ebay for about 30euros per piece.
          I honestly think they should be worth more than that(...maybe as I have several myself )
