    Wehrmacht instrument

    Hi
    Just got this "Glockenspiel" yesterday.
    Not my field of collecting, but I thought I would share it with you.

    The instrument is named "Wilhelm Piering". According to the homeage of a German University "Wilhelm Piering" was a Police NCO who was KIA in East Africa. Would any one know why the WH would ¨name an instrument?
