Help with recently purchased Y-strap! BITTE!

Hi Everyone, I just purchased some ystraps from a large dealer and I am not quite sure about them. The y-straps look good to me except for the fact that the "ring" seams to have light grey paint on it and the "back strap hook " is almost a pea green (Dead match in paint color to a M35 Parade helmet I have). Also the back strap leather seems a bit thicker than the front straps and I am having a hard time getting the "rivet" through both pieces of leather on the backstrap(for adjusting length). Any help with this would be appricated as these were NOT cheap, and I just want an honest set!

Thanks guys, I REALLY REALLY APPRICATE IT!

    Hey Eric,
They dont sounds bad, as for the adjustment of the back strap I would leave it as is. A photo of your new purchase would be nice to see,

    Thanks Michael

                  Hi Eric,

Both the Y straps as the end piece look original to me. The probably just don't belong to each other.
It's hard to find a set that belongs to each other.

On ebay a lot of sets are offered with the end piece missing, and from rime to time a dealer is offering end pieces.

they are good. the green metal piece you speak of is the knid you want to see. I would have no problem with these Y straps in my collection. Glenn

I just wanna say a word about the RB. Nr stamp it's 0/1001/0236 and the number is well known from other types of equipment. Great looking strap
