P.S.;you've nearly made me green with envy with the M37 for I thought that I did own the last six mint late war pairs , but when I did take a second look at them again and noticed that both of yours come from the very same source,the very same lot but from two different pairs I felt a little better!

Please advise what you meant by this.
I think I must take some better pictures for you as there is absolutely no difference between them when you hold them in your hands. Not in color, not in texture, not in wear and they both have identical stamps at all the same places. How can this not be a pair.
I think the crappy lighting I used for these pictures must be throwing you of.
PS, they have been together ever since the war, that's a fact. They were still tied together when I received them.

That's what I said Ben;the come from the VERY SAME source, the VERY SAME lot but they're (very)slightly different the one from the other;I mean....they look 100% identical but they've not been made by the same hand on the same desk! There are a few little details that differ slightly and I'm 190% sure they've never parted company since the war, still...they'be been taken at the warehouse like this "here....a 27 Left...there....a 27 right.... here you go a pair"!
Nitpicking?Who, Me?Yes...very much so when it comes to footwear !These schnuhrschuhe are beautiful and are matching in that they come from the very same source,the very same lot and were made at the same moment still they come from two different desks and where made by two different workers !

P.S.;good ole Manny cannot tell a turtle from a camo FJ lid (what's the difference between a turtle and a camo FJ lid anyway,apart from the fact that a soup made with a camo FJ lid must taste horrible )but still can tell his own when it comes to footwear, and a word or two when it comes to trousers and tunics!

Are these 1st pattern KM tropical's rarer or more "common" than the Heer version?
Hell, I didn't even know the KM had this type of tropical footwear.

That's what I meant!These KM tropical boots are as rare as their Army counterparts...only less desireable to people who are not into KM uniforms!
KM had high and low tropical boots,sometimes hobnailed(Kustenartillerie or landing parties) but nearly always without nails!

I will be getting some more boots in the very near future. The lady has found me ONE M44 low boot in mint condition as well. She believes the other one has already gone in the trash but she will keep looking for it.
