    military blanket

Hello to all, I'm new in this forum, I collect German binoculars !!

Hi, I collect only German binoculars, now I got three grey blankets with two darkgreen stripes, in the middle of the stripes is written HEERESEIGENTUM" (this means armyproperty). They are made of raw wool.
Are this blankets of the German army of WWII ??

    thanks for your help

Here are some pictures of the blankets Siegfried sended to me. The first has both the text "HEERESEIGENTUM" and "WOLLDECKE"...interesting. Also note the small tag (id or anti-moth?)

I like them! Does anyone knows what the "GM" means, next to the "WOLLDECKE"?

              Cheers

The blankets are not fakes, but they are post war austrian blankets.

This information was given to me by various militaria dealers...

and look how simple answers sometimes can be found... I "googled" the word Heereseigentum and it brought me to this page...

                        http://members.chello.at/tobias.stei...myNews_001.htm

take a look at the pictures... it looks like these blankets are used up until now....

Take a close look at the blankets......

So I guess these blankets are

                          Hi Tom

Thanks for your research and confirmation. Like I emailed you, I didn't even think they were Austrian ( I should have know better ), although they are probably an earlier version, based on the wool and color.

Thanks again for helping me out here, I learned something new today!

                          Kind regards
