Afrika corps tropical lot attic fresh

HI guys , this lot came in to day straight from a clearance , the bayonet has matching no.s to scabbard and looks to have never been removed from the day it was liberated, am I correct in saying the green colour webbing is early and the webbing buckle tap is also an early feature ?

German stuff not my area I plan to sell these just want to make sure - thanks gents

There will be, Barry - 1940 I assume. Typical Brehmer colour and strike.
          Wonderful set!

The GB and date marking is often very faint, but with the right light and a camera you should be able to make it out.

When you can't find a maker mark that is the sneaky place you will find it on Heer tropical buckles

Many thanks gents ,I will be offering this lot for sale , my only concern is I dont think the belt will go through the loop on the frog ? it appears a few mm to wide these genuinely came together and I am certain they were brought back from the war together but are they an actual set ? should I offer them as two separate lots ?

This set should stay together in my opinion.

To get the frog on you have to take the buckle off first.

                          Keep them together.
That's the first lighter green coloured GB buckle with a 41 date I've seen (thus my earlier '40 comment) - very desirable
I'd love to add these to 'The Sandpit'.
