Hello,
Want to share an old find (15 years ago). That gasmask canister was from the General Kurt BADINSKI commander of the 276 ID. The General was captured the August 20, 1944 and the division destroyed on the Falaise gap.
I found that canister in an antique shop near Flers, and it was found at Berjou , sector of "Ruckmarsch" of the 276 ID.
The condition is as found and not cleaned, just a varnish applied to the markings to protect them.
It is published in this book : http://www.abebooks.fr/Battlefield-R...12893205188/bd
Thanks, David
