    German WW2 fife/flute

    Hi
I have had this German ww2 flute/Fife with its holster for a couple of years. I am not sure whether it's a political or army use. I hope someone may have some info.
Also I would like to know what value such an instrument has. I normally collect only German army hardware and field gear.

I have a similar LW eagle marked fife, but no holster. I have it priced at around $200, but have not had any takers so far. Everyone likes it, some have even been able to play it, but no takers.

Yours would be great on a bandsman's tunic

Thanks for the input. I will probably just have to wait and see what happens. It's probably going to end in a trade some day :-)

          Trommelflote "Drum Flute"

I ran across this article when researching an almost identical German Fife. I was once told it was Heer as aposed to HJ which I had originally thought, but as you may have discovered, information is sparce on them.

          Peace
