Y-Strap Opinions?

Hello all, I have been looking for a Y strap for some time to finish up my first uniform and have had very little luck in finding any for sale. I just found one and wanted some opinions.I have never been able to hold a real set so I have nothing to base these pictures off of. I really appricate any help you could give me.

Nice,genuine Y-straps,even more interesting in that they're stamped on the patch covering the central steel ring!

I'm a Y strap lover. I think they look cool. and yes, definatly a nice looking pair. not only original but a good looker too. nice shade of leather and they look "strong" (some just look too passive) and Manny, its good to see you throwing in comments . I havent seen any from you lately and I actually look forward to hearing your views/ comments. you know your a favorite here! Glenn

Y straps

Thanks for your opinions guys I am going to buy them. BTW Manny, I have been reading posts for months now and your knowledge is truly amazing. Thank you both for your help.

I like them. But, is the back strap buttoned on backwards? Typically the adjusting strap with the pointed end is showing outward, to the same side that the hook would be. In the first picture, we see the adjusting strap, but the hook is facing down. Perhaps just turned around?

I like the looks of them, but isn't one side strap a little bit thin ?? or is it just the aging of the strap that makes it thinner.....
